Coronavirus is in Portugal, but cases are still low. And remains a wonderful country to live in. Albeit being a beautiful destination to visit as a tourist, or to invest and reside, it is a privileged gateway to Europe and the world. It is, hence, our duty to highlight the basic precautions to avoid spreading the virus. We remind that although it is a serious situation, Portugal has one of the lowest numbers of identified cases. Mostly on the north, although we can expect to see cases rise nationally, particularly among risk groups like elderly people. Some schools have been closed, and big events cancelled, but for now everything is following daily activities.
Basic procedures
Everyone needs to ensure basic procedures, which should be part of the routine in any situation: make sure to wash your hands, and avoid touching your mouth or face, as much as possible. Portuguese authorities are monitoring permanently and our solid health services have a plan in place, and are ready.
Everything will return to normal very soon. If you come to Portugal now, there is no major risk, if you adopt the right behaviour. And you still enjoy our perfect hospitality. Come now and think of living or investing in one of the best countries to live on, under a magnificent March weather, and sunny days around 25º.
